Wives Behind the Badge, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charitable organization established in 2006 by a group of police wives to provide much needed resources, emotional support and essential benefits to police families, law enforcement agencies and the community as a whole. Program Highlights are as follows:
Online Newsletter
Scholarships
- Scholarships to children of active and retired law enforcement officers, as well as children of officers killed in the line of duty. We also plan to offer scholarships to the widows of fallen officers who now find it necessary to return to school and enable them to financially take care of their families.
Disaster Relief and Medical Support
- Financial support to police families during times of disaster such as hurricanes, tornadoes, fires and many other disasters, as well as financial hardship due to medical crisis.
Support to Police Agencies
- Financial and in-kind support to police agencies through our "Adopt-an-Agency" program which will provide much needed equipment, supplies and training.

Online Support Forum
Our online support forum is available to all wives,fiance's and girlfriends of a police officer, for friendship, support, and most of all fun! The support forum staff and members are a big family...a sisterhood and we are dedicated to helping one another face the daily struggles of being in a law enforcement relationship. Membership is always free. Our site is operated on the generous donations of our members!
H.A.L.O.S (Helping Aid Lost Officers) Condolence Program
In addition to the support and friendship we have to officer, we also are very proud of our H.A.L.O.S. (Helping Aid Lost Officers Survivors) condolence program. Our verified members are "Angels" to the wives of fallen officers - helping them cope with the loss of their officers - something we all fear.
In 2007 we expanded our HALOS program to include K-9's killed in the line of duty.
Major Accomplishments in 2007

Raised $1,300 for the National Law Enforcement Police Officers Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

Reached out to the families and the agencies of every police officer that died in the line of duty.

Financial support to police families faced with disaster.

Financial support and donated in-kind gifts towards a police raffle benefiting the family of a K-9 officer who died of cancer.
